Hydra Health

Hydra Health is a new kind of hospital wellness studio, serving the Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center within the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center Campus. Hydra Health is simultaneously a consumer health convenience store, and a wellness oasis for patients, staff, and visitors.

The 1,600 square foot wellness studio is organized with retail and lounges in the front, and private respite rooms in the rear. Unified by a neutral, monochromatic material palette, the retail space is framed by a series of softly lit niches that function as merchandise displays, comfortable lounges, and a beauty bar. Bespoke maple millwork pieces provide a simple backdrop for an assortment of products. Soft thresholds are created for privacy and flexibility through warm textile curtains on recessed curtain tracks. The design translates the brand’s ethos into a modern and elevated interior environment.

Hydra Health is developed by Health Hospitality Partners, whose mission is to re-envision healthcare facilities by redeveloping under-utilized lobbies, common spaces and underperforming retail and cafeterias in order to provide conveniences, amenities and a sense of true hospitality.
