Figure is seeking an Intern and a Freelance Architectural Designer to start in August 2023.
Job Responsibilities
- Work on a range of project types including civic, hospitality, workplace, retail, and private residential
- Assist Principals in the design, development, and execution of projects from programming and concept phases all the way to construction administration
- Produce as-built backgrounds for project initiation
- Diagramming, sketching, and 3D modeling early design schemes
- Material finishes and fixtures research, sample collection and organization
- Assist team in producing architectural drawing sets for design development and construction documentation
- Attend client meetings and OAC meetings during construction
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 or 5-year Bachelor's degree in Architecture, or degree in progress for Intern position
- Minimum of two years of professional work experience in an architecture firm
- Proficiency in Rhinoceros, AutoCAD, and Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
- Strong physical modeling skills
- Have high self-motivation and strong time management skills
- Clear communicator in both internal design crits, and external client facing meetings
- Preference to San Francisco Bay Area candidates. Remote hires will be considered for the right fit.
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- English fluency
