01/20 — The Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs announce the six finalists for the Memorial to the Victims of the 1871 Chinese Massacre. Figure x Studio J. Jih has submitted the Phase 1 design for this historic memorial competition. 11/01 — James Leng participates in the University of Pennsylvannia’s Visual Studies panel discussion led by Nate Hume. The panel includes Germane Barnes, Galo Canizares, Jenny French, and Benjamin Vanmuysen.


10/03 — Figure and Karamuk Kuo receive second place in the San Francisco, Swiss House Mission Street RFP.
